I think float flying in a low performance fabric airplane is the ultimate thrill for a pilot. Flying off the water combines the thrill of aviation with that of boating--and you can't beat the scenery. I think inside every pilot is a bush pilot waiting to fly floats over the wilderness-- Regards, Bill Pohlmann (a Sunday Pilot)

Hi Brian and Jen, Just stopped by to say hello. I have been flying my Kolb as much as time and good weather (not much wind) allow. Have started my third project, a kitfox early model that will take a bit of time to complete. Am looking forward to my flight review which will be due fall of 2009. I hope you will still be available at that time. Best always to you both, Hal

Used to own 1939 J3 - N 24817. Sold to person in Lahoya Cal. over 30 years ago. Wonder if it is still flying?
